Alpental
Two of the best falls in this area are Bryant Buttress and Hubba Hubba Falls 

  • Type: Ice Climbing 
  • Difficulty: Varying difficulty depending on which waterfalls are frozen. 
  • Location: Located at 1001 State Route 906 in Snoqualmie Pass, WA 98068. Take US 2 E to US 97 S. Continue onto WA 970 W and follow to I-90 W. Take exit 54 toward Hyak Gold Cr. Turn left onto Lake Mardee Rd. and continue onto WA 906.

Mazama
The best Leavenworth Washington ice climbing in this area are Goat Wall, Goat’s Beard, and Gate creek. 

  • Type: Ice Climbing 
  • Difficulty: WI 3-WI 6 
  • Location: 129 miles north of Leavenworth. Take US 2 E as it turns into US 97 going through Chelan. Go north onto WA 153 and take that directly to Mazama.
